The Clarendon Hills Notre Dame School took second place in a regional tournament at Walker Athletics in Lisle recently.
Competing with ten fifth-grade teams, representing Cook, West, and Southern DuPage counties, the grade school team lived up to the tournament’s namesake, “For the Love of the Game.” Notre Dame School Athletic Director Brad Schmid, as well as Marty Dolan of Clarendon Hills, coached the team.
“This is such a great group of kids,” said Dolan. “They really proved that with a lot of hard work and teamwork, anything is possible — even a grade school team finishing 2nd against the other travel teams.”
Team members are Jack Gray, Collin Costello, Jack Dolan, Justin Bradshaw, Ben Padgitt, Zack Gooding, William Engels, Peter Wasz, Nathan Smith, Zack Jensen, Nicky Ray, Payton Comstock, Ben Chiappe, Donovan Lahman, and Jimmy Darrow.
