Truck tips, spills gravel; Ill. 83 ramp blocked 3 hours

A truck carrying gravel overturned Saturday in Hinsdale, blocking the ramps between northbound Illinois 83 and 55th Street for more than three hours.
The truck driver suffered only minor injuries when his rig overturned about 9 a.m. Saturday.
The westbound truck tipped over and spilled its load onto the ramp while trying to turn right onto the ramp to northbound Illinois 83. The truck blocked the ramp to northbound Illinois 83 and the gravel blocked the ramp to 55th Street.
A heavy-duty tow truck was called in to upright the truck and equipment was called in to clean up the gravel and remove the damaged truck.
