CLARENDON HILLS — A 16-year-old Clarendon Hills boy nearly had bloodhounds and police in a helicopter out looking for him after he was reported missing in the early morning hours of Jan. 21.

Clarendon Hills police said the boy had been drinking alcoholic beverages at a party in Willowbrook. His mother called police when her son had not returned home by about 1 a.m. Willowbrook police unsuccessfully requested bloodhounds and a helicopter to aid with the search for the boy.

Police said the boy walked into an unlocked home on the 6300 block of Tennessee Avenue in Willowbrook and passed out. He left the house after he woke up, and was seen walking nearby the house by a friend about 3:30 a.m.

The boy returned home unharmed and was charged by Willowbrook police with trespassing and possession of alcohol by a minor.
