CLARENDON HILLS — The annual Tree Lighting ceremony and the Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Walk Friday ushered in the village’s holiday season.
Events began with the tree lighting ceremony and caroling at Village Hall. Festivities continued until 9 p.m. and included a visit from Santa in the Sloan Triangle in downtown Clarendon Hills, sleigh rides, a toy soldier mime, strolling carolers, and special offers at several stores.
The evening also featured and a game to help Santa find his sleigh. Participants gathered clues from several downtown stores and filled out a card to help in the hunt.
