Longtime Clarendon Hills Fire Chief Brian Leahy reportedly was resting comfortably around 3 p.m. Monday at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital after being taken there by ambulance from a residence about 1:30 p.m.

“He’s doing good, but he was feeling under the weather,” said Dave Godek of the Clarendon Hills Fire Department.

Leahy has been the Clarendon Hills fire chief since 1985. He initially joined the department’s cadet program in 1971 and became a paid firefighter in 1973.
