The Community House is holding its Seventh Annual Walk the Walk for Autism on April 27. All of the proceeds raised will go to support Charlie’s Gift Autism Center, a program that addresses the needs of children and families facing autism and other related disorders. This year’s walk will begin at 8:30 a.m., rain or shine. To register, participants should contact Sarah Sieracki at SSieracki@thecommunityhouse.org or visit http://www.walkthewalk.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1099708.
Charlie’s Gift provides pediatric therapy, counseling services, social skills development, parent advocacy and family support. As a community-wide resource serving the Chicago metro area, Charlie’s Gift strives to support the family as a whole, educate the community, and raise awareness about the importance of beginning therapy early so children have the best possible start to reach their full potential.
