Friday service in La Grange to honor Connecticut victims

LA GRANGE — The Tears Foundation will come together to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting with a vigil set for 7 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church of La Grange, 150 S. Ashland Ave., La Grange. Guests are asked to use the sanctuary door located on Elm Avenue.

The candlelight vigil in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Dec. 14.

The vigil will include music, prayer, naming of victims, and a moment of silence to honor the families. Flameless candles will be provided to the first 100 people to enter.

Committed to helping grieving families honor the life of their child, The Tears Foundation seeks to compassionately lift the financial and emotional burden from families who have lost a baby. It is hosting vigils around the country on Friday. Cards and notes for the families or first responders are being accepted at the vigils, to be delivered by The Tears Foundation’s East Coast chapters.
